Mystical Stealth

It might looks similar, but they are never the same – Mystical Stealth by Richard Mah.

This photograph is basically talking about art stealing. Today, the rate of art stealing has grown increasingly high due the easy excess of Internet. Perhaps the first question you might ask since you have heard a quote by Pablo Picasso – “Good artists copy, great artists steal”. Yes, definitely true! But the “steal” in this photo is meant to be the stealth of people’s artworks, whereas the “steal” in Picasso’s quote.

You might think this is just a small thing as the whole world is doing it. What if one day you see your artwork published by others and cited it their own, and you can actually do nothing about that instead of getting pissed off in front of the screen.

The photograph shows a slice of green apple is stapled on a red apple. Why? The red apple signifies the original artwork while the green apple slice signifies the part that others manipulate on. The entire apple seems almost perfect, but actually it’s not. With the additional staples on the cut, it enhances and strengthens the message to show that those whole steal other’s art works actually try all they can to cover their flaws, manipulate and own the
entire artwork.
